3 Plus 3 Plus 3 Equals One?

I am sure that everyone reading the title of this post has just raised their eyebrows and said "huh"? I know that at least Josh, the algebra teacher, is going "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO"! I just like to keep the one or two readers of this blog on their toes.

We had Abigail's one year check up and the doctor found that she has grown three inches and gained three pounds in the last three months. Seeing the math now? 3 (inches) plus 3 (pounds) plus 3 (months) for our big one year old girl.

Okay, so I truly couldn't think of anything else creative to bring everyone up to speed on her progress. Josh and I are elated at this because this puts her into the 80th percentile for height and the 15th percentile for height. The doctor said that means she is going to be tall and skinny (and hopefully athletic but no pressure...yet...) I know most people with kids are looking at the 15th percentile number and wondering why we would be so excited that she is so below the 50th percentile average. Well, the past few check ups she has been around the 6th percentile for weight. We are very excited that she is in the double digits. Though I am not thrilled with them charting her progress against the "average" or "typical" child. She is her own person and will make her own progress! Though as a first time parent, I like to know that she is progressing properly and growing up perfectly...Well, we know she is perfect but we like the doctor to agree with us. I mean, really, how can you not look at this face and say she isn't perfect?

She sure has come a long way in a year. What is even better is that she is really starting to get the whole walking thing down. Though, I think it is much better for her than us!

Congrats on the 3 to the third degree! Sara was almost off the charts in height and I think 75% on weight, but the doctor said she'll be a model. Hopefully a smart model, right? Abby's gorgeous (that smile!). Good job, you two!
