Misty Mountain Hop...Literally

I have been meaning to write this Blog entry but the holiday season can be a trying time to get extra thoughts out on the computer. Not to mention getting any thoughts out of a pregnant woman's head is always trying!

The title and thus purpose of this entry was to document a very momentous occasion on November 11, 2006. This was the first time that I felt Baby Bean kick me. It was one of the most surreal experiences and every time I have been kicked since, it still stops me in my tracks. It reminds me that there is a living human being inside me right now and how lucky we really are to be blessed with our Bean.

Josh and I attended a concert on November 11 (hence why I remember the date) at the Hard Rock Live. We went to see a cover band perform the entire album of Led Zeppelin IV. We had VIP seats, food and a full bar...with me drinking Sprite... It couldn't have been any better and the band was amazing! While I am a fan of Led Zeppelin, I don't know all the words, unlike Josh. So I just sat back, relaxed and enjoyed.

We were sitting there for 2 or 3 songs before Misty Mountain Hop was played. About a minute into it, I felt this strong pop about 2 inches below my belly button. I turned to Josh and said "Bean just kicked me!". We both smiled and I swear the noise from the entire concert seemed to just blend into the background. Josh put his hand on my belly in hopes to feel Bean jump again but before we knew it, the song was over and Bean was calm. I just turned to Josh, with a smile on my face, and said "Bean loves Led Zeppelin! At least now we definitely know it is your child!"

Be thankful for miracles every day. They come in all sizes, shapes and surprises.
